You can go to Post & Email and naturalborncitizen blogs to read the arguments about what the term “Kenyan-born” means. To we average IQ people, that means a person was born in Kenya. However, Donofrio makes a great point. I am “Texas-born”, meaning I was born on the best soil in the world. However, with full disclosure, only one of my parents was born in Texas. Now, if I was born in New York City, but with 2 parents born in Texas, one could make the argument I was “Texan-born” but not “Texas born” since I was born far from the great state of Texas.
So I understand when Leo argues that Kenyan born refers to “blood”, that is , son of a Kenyan native. And the argument makes more sense if both parents were born in Kenya.
John Charlton, however cites a Nigerian newspaper article that claims Obama is “Kenya born”. I think that is trickier and to me that formulation means Obama was born someplace actually in the country of Kenya. Obama could have 2 American parents and still be “Kenya” born.
Which comes down to once again: Please show us the long form, vault birth certificate!!
